Our app uses an Accessibility Service solely to provide an on-screen “tap-to-translate” feature, which allows users to translate text displayed in other apps in real time. How the feature works: When the user explicitly enables the Accessibility Service from device settings, the app displays a foreground floating overlay widget. The user can drag the overlay icon to any visible text on the screen. Using Accessibility APIs, the service reads only the text located at the user-selected screen position (via visible AccessibilityNodeInfo).
